New Executive Directors of the BGZ Group

After more than six years as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the BGZ Group, Christian Clausen resigns as of March 31, 2010. Sixty-year-old Christian Clausen will now mainly concentrate on his private interests. “We would like to thank Christian Clausen very much for his work and commitment as well as for his decisive contribution to the development of our Group since assuming this position at the beginning of 2004,” states Volker Friedrichsen, the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BGZ. “For many years renewable energies have constantly been a matter very near to Christian Clausen’s heart. Without any doubt we owe him important incentives.“

Succeeding Christian Clausen is Dr. Christian Kuhse, who has already been a member of the Executive Board since November 2009 and who will be appointed CFO as of April 1, 2010. Christian Kuhse was born in 1963, completed an internship as a bank clerk and graduated with a PhD in law. Following his studies, he firstly worked as a business lawyer. During the last ten years, Christian Kuhse has held several executive positions in the financial departments of listed companies.

Furthermore as of April 1, 2010, Martinus Scherweit will become a member of the BGZ Executive Board as the Chief Operative Officer (COO). Martinus Scherweit, born in 1964, who is at the same time the CEO of BGZ’s subsidiary WKN Windkraft Nord AG, will be responsible for the entire operative business of the BGZ Group. As a mechanical engineer he started his wind career already in 1991 at Windtest Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog. In 1994 Scherweit was appointed Managing Director of energy-consult, today also a subsidiary of the BGZ Group, where he became a Managing Partner in 1997. In 2004, Martinus Scherweit was appointed CEO of WKN AG.
