Working at WKN
We attach importance to a harmonious relationship, whether during a short conversation in our coffee corner, during a joint yoga class or the monthly after-work evenings in one of the many restaurants in Husum. As a WKN employee, you benefit from flat hierarchies and a friendly, informal corporate culture.
In addition to 30 days holidays, our employees can look forward to further advantages:
Since our foundation, our company headquarters have been located in Husum. In the House of Future Energies, not far from the central federal highways, we are also easily accessible from outside Husum. Various restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance and the Husum harbour is also only 10 minutes away by car.
"As a young mother, I have the opportunity to work in a responsible position at WKN. I particularly appreciate the flexible working hours, which enable me to combine family and career. Flat hierarchies and short distances create a relaxed working atmosphere in which you can always find open doors and ears."
Katharina Stadermann (Personnel Administrator)
“As a vocation, I started to work for the wind energy in 2004, at the early age of the wind development in France. Today, after 9 years working for WKN France, I can say I’m very glad to do my best for the construction of wind farms within a strong and human-size company.“
Benoît Mentrel (Great West Grid & Construction at WKN France)
"Ever since I attended a lecture by climate researcher Professor Latif, I have been aware of the importance of doing everything we can to preserve our living conditions on Earth. For me, it's great that I can contribute a small part of it through my work at WKN."
Marion Friedrichsen (Management Assistant)
In Sweden we have great activists working for a climate change, one single person can’t do everything but everybody can do something. I feel great comfort in working at the WKN group within renewables doing whatever I can to improve our climate situation of the world. That is something I bring further to my children, and I am proud of it.
Ann-Sofi Laurin (Project Development at VKS)
"I have been working for WKN for 17 years; for 12 years in the area of Sales/Due Diligence. The experienced, long-standing employees of WKN and PNE ensure reliability in the processes. Often, the transaction teams are a colourful mixture of people from various cultural backgrounds. Above all, it is this goal-oriented and close cooperation beyond national borders that I enjoy."
Corinna Pauschardt (Sales)
"I have been working for WKN for 21 years and am responsible for the contractual arrangements for the properties in any type of use. For me, sustainability means being able to deal well with each of our partners even after the contract has been signed. I think that's what defines us all at WKN."
Stephan Eidinger (Head of Site Securement)
"Being a project manager is a lot about working as a team, taking up challenges and establishing contacts with a lot of different people. What I like the most about WKN is the capacity of the company to encourage training and knowledge sharing between employees, which is a very effective way to improve the quality of our daily work."
Julien Cochard (Wind projects manager at WKN France)
Husum is boring, isn't it?
We don't have a red-light district like Hamburg, where a new party takes place every evening, we don't have a suburban train every 2 minutes and we can't hide in the anonymity of a big city. But we don't get stuck in traffic jams every day and let the crowds in the suburban railway spoil our mood in the morning. We work where others go on vacation. And with the sea behind us, we are moving a lot internationally. We promote the energy revolution – and we do it together.
