WKN Windpark Laxaskogen in Schweden

Wind farm Laxaskogen

WKN's market entry in Sweden

  • MW realised: 25.2 MW
  • Turbines erected: 7 WTG
  • Start of operation: February 2019

The Laxaskogen wind farm is located in the south of Sweden in a forest area that is actively managed by the modern Swedish forestry industry. The wind farm was developed by the Swedish subsidiary VKS Vindkraft Sverige AB and consists of seven wind turbines of the 3.6 megawatt class.

WKN also assumed responsibility for the construction and erected the wind farm on behalf of the owner on schedule so that the wind farm was completed at the beginning of 2019.

The wind farm was sold to the private German investor Wirtgen Invest Energy GmbH at the end of 2017. The project was the first project of WKN in Sweden and it therefore marks the point of market entry there.
